On Saturaday, in concert with other RACES and ARES stations across Louisiana, held a communications drill to test emcomm across the State of Louisiana. GOHSEP HQ EOC was activated and members of NELA-ARES activated the NELA EOC. Several situations were addressed, and the Ouachita EOC was fully staffed. This test wasn't about moving resources around, but challenging the operators, and net controllers on how to communicate in several "what if" situations occured. Everyone can walk away from this event with valuable information on EMCOMM, and areas that need to be addressed. Once again this test was designed for testing our communications skills in EMCOMM.
